This is a sketch of my home brew pole. I was not satisfied with the look of all the wires wrapped on the poles NCat proposed. I came up with a few changes. I'm using brass rod and not welding rod for the poles, the welding rod is too hard to drill. I drilled a hole to install a 1/32" brass rod for the horizontal support and a hole for 26 gauge wire for the diagonal support element. The diagonal support is twisted around the end of the horizontal and then formed into the ear/hanger. All the dimensions are per NCat.
